Holographic Hostess is a product composed by a retro-projection mapping in a acrylic surface with a special foil fixed on it, proper to project with high distinctness even in well-lit places. Our costumer give to us the text to record and we do all the magic. Chroma key capture, editing, programming, production, equipment and logistics.
This product simulates holography (in fact is a retro-projection) because the video outlines after editing is used to cut with laser precision the acrylic surface, so, from people who see the display from front the experience is that the presenter hologram is there.
Virtual reality is a technology capable of simulate an alternative world to our reality with images generated by computer graphic. The term today is often used as development of simulators with an ultra-realistic virtual experiences. In this context the VR gained much strength with the arrival of new devices as Oculus Rift and the Leap Motion that brought important advantages over its predecessors. The Rift already has FULL HD screen and lenses to stereoscopy, while the leap brings incredible precision for the recognition of hands.
Oculus Rift, purchased in 2014 by Facebook, with DK2 model and also Google with the Cardboard is betting on this technology to end customers. Virtual Reality, not as game and entertainment but as a very useful applications for several markets, is already a reality.
Augmented reality is a technology used to insert digital content (like 3D animations or chroma key capture) mapped on patterns captured by camera in real time. There is no AR without a camera as "reality" is due to a screen (big, small or AR glasses) showing images captured by a camera in real time. And the term augmented refers to the content placed above some marker on real images, changing the reality.
The mapped object (that triggers the augmented content) may be a printed image, a floor adhesive, a human face or even a GPS position. And there are the interactive ARs, that has content reactions mapped to actions made by the user and read with sensores like Kinect. For example, to play an Air Guitar system that reads the finger positions in the air and reproduces the respective sounds.
RFID means Radio Frequency Identification and it is used to audience controls in corporate events, often just to register, deliver a bracelet or a card and after that putting some readers linked with screens to show personalized messages to visitors.
But today we can deliver a lot more using the same technology. While registering, the visitor can alternative register with facebook and allow the event app to post on his timeline. After that the vistor can touch the bracelet with RFID chip on thematic places to post.
Barcode for audience controle is very similar to RFID, except for barcode needs to passa the code on the reader´s range, while RFID has the modes LF (that has to touch on the reader too) and the HF that is for proximity, without the need of touch.
